Space Bags Review

Space is a major concern in every household. We all know that people need space in order to be able to move around as comfortably as possible. The home is a place where everyone needs to move – mom needs to cook in the kitchen, dad needs to fix the garage door, kids need to study for their homework – and the many activities that the household members need to do inside the home require ample movement and circulation space to ensure that no one gets hurt, injured, or inconvenienced by crowdedness and stuffiness.

If your home does not have sufficient movement space, you and other household members would feel unable to perform your personal activities as optimally as you want to. You can’t run around when you’re in a hurry because of the narrow hallways and cramped division areas. You can’t carry a tray full of food without having to tell everyone not to move for a while until you have placed the food on the table. There’s also a lot of irritating emotions that you can get when you look at your house and you tell yourself “It’s so crowded and untidy in our home!”  Good thing there’s a solution to all of your space-saving needs –  the Space Bag.

The Space Bag is a brand that was first released in 1993. It main objective was to allow household members to have more living and movement spaces in their home by reducing their clutter and untidy stuff. In 2002, the Space Bag was bought by Illinois Tool Works as a subsidiary that produces the same branded Space Bag. These products are very unique because of the features that they offer to the consumer market.

Space Bags use vacuum technology in keeping the home as clutter-free and spacious as possible. These Space Bags are full-size plastic bags but they have an air-compressing system that allows you to eliminate all the air inside the bag and then seal it to keep it in its compressed, space-saving state. When you put things inside the Space Bag, it is still in its original bulky size. But once you use your vacuum cleaner to suck out all of the air from the bag through the one-way air valve, you will find that the Space Bag can save up to 100% space because it can compress all of your clutter to a very small size. However, there are certain guidelines that you should follow in using Space Bags.

First, Space Bags can only be utilized as space-saving vacuum bags if you have a vacuum cleaner to use it with. There is no included vacuum in the set of products neither is there a sold separate vacuum cleaner especially for these bags. You need to have your own standard size vacuum cleaner to suck out the air from the bags.

Second, space bags are only designed for soft items. Hard items like action figures, plastic dolls, and other plastic and non-fabric household items cannot be compressed even by vacuum, so it is senseless to keep them in Space Bags. Only soft items like unused clothes, old linens, fabrics, towels, curtains, covers, sheets, and pillows can be kept inside these bags. However, make sure that you don’t vacuum down and feather pillows too much because the vacuum tightness can damage the stuffing of the pillows and reduce their quality. It is also not advisable to keep food in Space Bags because they are not for storage solution purposes.

Having Space Bags to keep your clutter always small and easy to keep can be very rewarding. You don’t only get the extra space you need –  you also free your home from clutter and keep it tidy and neat at all times.
